Roaming through the peaceful port of Rovinj
Rovinj is an enchanting, little fishing town on the Istrian peninsula of Croatia. It’s maze-like menagerie of homes, that span everything from warm pastels to deep hues, form tightly knit, cobblestone laden pathways perfect for wandering through. Follow the tangle of streets up to the hilltop church of St. Euphemia, whose towering steeple dominates the skyline, or browse one of the many craft shops adorning Main Street. The north side ends abruptly in jagged cliffs while the south side of the peninsula gradually eases itself into the ocean. It’s here that we dined on fresh fish caught off the port as a waning sun stained the Adriatic to the serenade of sea birds floating overhead.
