Experiencing the full Monti in Rome.
The neighborhood of Monti is just one of Rome’s many hidden gems. Visitors will make it a point to see its famous landmarks such as the Colosseum and Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, but often neglect the spaces between them. As we soon learned, this is a big no-no. Monti has been growing over the past few years, and why shouldn’t it? The streets are lined with bars and restaurants making a night out with locals as easy as getting lost in the shuffle. Start the night with a beer or two in square, which locals Silvia and Marco so kindly showed us the way. And don’t be afraid to chat with the pockets of people out to do the same. It’s in this way that you can really dive in to Monti’s urban nightlife culture. Be prepared for an evening chock full of street food, aperitifs, and great conversation, all with a stunning backdrop that only a city like Rome could provide.
